DDL began in the 1950's as a Drainage contracting company installing house drainage in Tokoroa.

As technologies changed into the 80s and 90's the company was carried on by family members to evolve into capabilities of all underground installation largely by the trenchless methodologies that we have today.

DDL was established 30 years ago as a sole trader involved in residential, farm and commercial drainage.

​

We were awarded the contract with Telecom to install and underground plant 25 years ago and have been involved in the installation of underground services since then, initially the telecommunication field and subsequently branching out to the other services such as installation of power, gas and water utility services.

​

The contract continues as a sole provider for the regions, Taupo, Rotorua, Tokoroa and surrounding districts to Transfield, as well as more recently (17 years) to Telstra Clear, Northpower, Transfield Power and Siemens (Power providers) Watermark (Water reticulation) and various other service providers and contracting firms.

We continue to assist in the design, obtaining of consents and permits and installation for various projects.

We have grown our team to incorporate a wide range of experience in all facets of underground installation and reinstatement based out of our branches in both Rotorua and Tokoroa travelling to all areas we cover in the Central North Island at least weekly.
